Lower Sliding Door Roller: Service and Repair

Roller Bracket Replacement - Lower

Removal Procedure

Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
2. Remove the front edges of the sliding door inner trim panel in order to gain access to the sliding door lower roller bracket bolts.
3. Mark the location of the sliding door lower roller bracket to the sliding door with a grease pencil.
4. Support the sliding door.

5. Remove the sliding door catch (1) with the reinforcement channel bolt (2) at the sliding door lower track.

6. Remove the sliding door lower roller bracket vertical bolts.
7. Remove the sliding door lower roller bracket from the lower track.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the sliding door lower roller bracket to the lower door bracket.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the sliding door catch with reinforcement channel bolt (2) at the sliding door lower track.

Tighten the reinforcement channel bolt to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

3. Align the sliding door lower roller bracket to the grease pencil marks on the sliding door.
4. Install the sliding door lower roller bracket bolts.

Tighten the lower roller bracket bolts, in sequence as shown, to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

5. Remove the support from the sliding door.
6. Install the front edge of the sliding door inner trim panel to the sliding door.

Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer toAcutator Control Module - Power Sliding Door (PSD) Programming and Setup .

7. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
8. Adjust the sliding door. Refer toDoor Adjustment - Sliding (Manual or Power) (Door Adjustment - Sliding (Manual or Power)) .
