Blower Replacement - Ventilation Heat and Cool - Rear Seat Cushion

BLOWER REPLACEMENT - VENTILATION HEAT AND COOL - REAR SEAT CUSHION

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Position the seat cushion in the forward position.
2. Release the seat cushion trim cover J channel along the lower edge of the trim cover.
3. Disconnect electrical connections from the ventilation heat and cool blower.
4. Note the location of the tie straps securing the ventilation heat and cool blower bracket to the seat cushion.
5. Remove the tie straps (3) retaining the ventilation heat and cool blower and bracket assembly to the seat cushion.
6. Remove the clip (1) securing the duct to the seat cushion frame.
7. Remove the ventilation heat and cool blower and bracket (2) from the seat cushion frame.




8. Drill the rivets (1) securing ventilation heat and cool blower (3) to the bracket (2).

CAUTION: Eye protection must be worn when drilling rivets to reduce the chance of personal injury.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the ventilation heat and cool blower (3) to the bracket (2).
2. Secure the ventilation heat and cool blower (3) to the bracket (2) using rivets (1).




3. Position the ventilation heat and cool blower and bracket assembly (2) to the seat cushion frame.
4. Secure the duct using the clip (1) removed during the removal procedure.
5. Install tie straps (3) to retain ventilation heat and cool blower and bracket to the seat cushion frame as noted in the removal procedure.
6. Connect the electrical connector to the ventilation heat and cool blower (2).
7. Secure the seat cushion trim cover J channel.
