7. Oil Pump and Torque Converter Housing Removal

^ Tools Required
- J 22888-D Side Bearing Remover

1. Rotate the transmission to the upright position.
2. Remove the oil pump bolts.





3. Use the J 22888-D to remove the oil pump (3).
4. Remove the bearing and the race from the rear of the oil pump.
5. Remove the two remaining torque converter housing bolts.
6. While holding the overdrive input shaft (2), remove the torque converter housing and O-ring from the transmission case.
