Canister Vent Valve: Service and Repair
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER VENT VALVE REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.
NOTE: Refer to EVAP Carbon Particles Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the EVAP canister vent valve.
3. Disconnect the vent hose from the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
4. Remove the fastener (2) from the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
5. Disconnect the canister hose from the EVAP canister vent valve.
6. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve (1) from the EVAP canister bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the EVAP canister hose to the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
2. Install the EVAP canister vent valve (1) to the EVAP canister bracket.
3. Secure the EVAP canister vent valve to the bracket with the fastener (2).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Connect the vent hose to the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
5. Connect the electrical connector to the EVAP canister vent valve.
6. Lower the vehicle.
