Power Steering Reservoir Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Loosen the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose clamp at the power steering pump (3).
2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any escaping fluid.

Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose (2) from the power steering pump.
4. Loosen the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose clamp at the reservoir (1).
5. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the reservoir.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses Without Twists or Bends Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose (2) and the hose clamp to the reservoir (1).
2. Install the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose and the hose clamp to the power steering pump (3)

Notice: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Add power steering fluid to the reservoir.

Notice: Refer to Air In The Steering System Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Bleed the power steering system.
