Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

TAIL LAMP ASSEMBLY AND /OR BACKUP, SIDEMARKER, STOP, TURN SIGNAL BULB REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the 2 screws (2) that retain the tail lamp (1).




2. Pull the tail lamp (1) rearward in order to access the turn signal, the backup and the tail/stop lamp bulb sockets.
3. Twist the turn signal lamp bulb socket (2) counterclockwise and remove the socket from the tail lamp (1).
4. Remove the turn signal lamp bulb from the bulb socket (2), if necessary.
5. Twist the backup lamp bulb socket (3) counterclockwise and remove the socket from the tail lamp (1).
6. Remove the backup lamp bulb from the bulb socket (3), if necessary.
7. Twist the tail/stop lamp bulb socket (5) counterclockwise and remove the socket from the tail lamp (1).
8. Remove the tail/stop lamp bulb from the bulb socket (5), if necessary.
9. Disconnect the tail lamp electrical connector (4).
10. Remove the tail lamp (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the tail/stop lamp bulb to the bulb socket (5), if removed.
2. Install the tail/stop lamp bulb socket (5) to the tail lamp and twist clockwise in order to secure the socket.
3. Install the backup lamp bulb to the bulb socket (3), if removed.
4. Install the backup lamp bulb socket (3) to the tail lamp and twist clockwise in order to secure the socket.
5. Install the turn signal lamp bulb to the bulb socket (2), if removed.
6. Install the turn signal lamp bulb socket (2) to the tail lamp and twist clockwise in order to secure the socket.
7. Connect the tail lamp electrical connector (4).




8. Install the tail lamp (1) to the vehicle. Secure the tail lamp with the 2 screws (2).
