17. Oil Pan Removal

Oil Pan Removal





1. Remove the oil level indicator.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove the following fasteners from the lower cylinder block:
- The 16 bolts
- The 2 nuts





Notice: Do not damage the oil pan contact surface of the lower cylinder block when removing the oil pan.

4. Carefully remove the engine oil pan.
5. Remove the 3 bolts and the oil pump strainer.
6. Clean the following components:
- The inside of the engine oil pan.
- The oil pump strainer screen.
- The mating surfaces of the engine oil pan and the lower cylinder block.
