Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Generator, Air Conditioning, and Power Steering

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the 2 drive belt tensioner bolts.
4. Remove the drive belt tensioner (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive belt tensioner (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.
- Tighten the 2 tensioner bolts to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the accessory drive belt.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
- Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
