Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement -Cooling Fan

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cooling fan drive belt.
3. Remove the 2 tensioner mounting bolts (1,3).
4. Remove the tensioner.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the tensioner. Secure with the TWC bolts (1,3).
- Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
2. Install and adjust the cooling fan drive belt.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
- Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
