Seat Back Replacement - Rear Split Folding (4 Door)

SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - REAR SPLIT FOLDING (4 DOOR)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Pull up on the rear seat back cushion latch release knob. Fold the rear seat back cushion (1) forward.




2. Remove the 3 plastic retainers from each rear seat back cushion which secure the rear floor carpet (1) to the seat back cushion. Position the carpet (1) aside in order to gain access to the seat back cushion mounting bolts.




3. Gently pry loose and remove the rear seat recliner lower finish cover (1).




4. Remove the following retainers which secure the seat back cushion:
- The 2 rear seat center bracket bolts (1)
- The rear seat recliner rear mounting bolt (2)




5. Return the seat back cushion (1) to the upright position in order to gain the necessary access to the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt.




6. Pull the rear seat pull strap (1 or 2) while raising the back of the rear seat cushion (3 or 4).




7. Remove the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt (3) which secures the seat back cushion (1).
8. Remove the seat back cushion (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear seat back cushion (1) to the vehicle. Secure the cushion with the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt (3). Do not tighten fully at this time.




2. Install the 2 rear seat center bracket bolts (1) and the rear seat recliner rear mounting bolt (2) which secure the seat back cushion

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the rear seat recliner mounting bolts and the rear seat center bracket bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).

3. Lower the seat cushion.




4. Pull up on the rear seat back cushion latch release knob. Fold the rear seat back cushion (1) forward.




5. Install the rear seat recliner lower finish cover (1).




6. Install the rear floor carpet (1) to the rear seat back cushion. Secure the carpet with the 3 plastic retainers.




7. Return the rear seat back cushion (1) to the upright position.
