Seat Back Replacement - Rear (2 Door)
SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - REAR (2 DOOR)REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear compartment panel, if equipped.
2. Pull up on the rear seat back cushion latch release knobs. Fold the rear seat back cushion forward.
3. Remove the rear floor carpet (3) from the rear seat back cushion (1) by releasing the velcro (4). Position the carpet (3) aside in order to gain access to the seat back cushion mounting bolts.
4. Gently pry loose and remove the rear seat recliner lower finish covers (2,5).
5. Remove the rear seat recliner rear mounting bolts (2).
6. Return the seat back cushion (1) to the upright position in order to gain the necessary access to the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt.
7. Pull the rear seat pull strap (2) while raising the back of the rear seat cushion (1).
8. Remove the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt (3) from each side of the seat back cushion (1).
9. Remove the seat back cushion (1) from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear seat back cushion (1) to the vehicle. Secure the cushion with the rear seat recliner front mounting bolt (3) at each side. Do not tighten fully at this time.
2. Install the rear seat recliner rear mounting bolts (2).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat recliner mounting bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).
3. Lower the seat cushion.
4. Pull up on the rear seat back cushion latch release knobs. Fold the rear seat back cushion forward.
5. Install the rear seat recliner lower finish covers (2, 5).
6. Install the rear floor carpet (3) to the rear seat back cushion (1). Ensure that the velcro (4) is secured to the seat back cushion.
7. Return the rear seat back cushion (1) to the upright position.
8. Install the rear compartment panel, if equipped.
