Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front (Passenger Side)

SEAT BACK FRAME REPLACEMENT - FRONT (PASSENGER SIDE)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the front seat.
2. Remove the front seat inner adjuster finish cover.
3. Remove the front seat head restraint and the guides.
4. Remove the armrest.
5. Release the J-retainer (2) on the bottom of the seat back cushion cover (1) which secures the cover around the seat adjuster lateral rod (3).
6. Roll the seat back cushion cover (1) up and off the seat back cushion pad and frame.




7. Remove the 2 bolts (2) which secure each seat adjuster (3) to the seat back cushion frame (1).
8. Remove the seat back cushion pad and frame (1) from the front seat.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the seat back cushion pad and frame (1) to the front seat. Secure the frame to each seat adjuster (3) with the 2 mounting bolts (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the front seat back cushion mounting bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).




2. Roll the seat back cushion cover (1) onto the seat back cushion pad and frame.
3. Secure the J-retainer (2) on the bottom of the seat back cushion cover (1) around the seat adjuster lateral rod (3).
4. Install the front seat head restraint and the guides.
5. Install the armrest.
6. Install the front seat inner adjuster finish cover.
7. Install the front seat.
