Instrument Panel Carrier Support Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Assembly Replacement).
2. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:

1. The screw (2)
2. The air distribution center duct (1)




3. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:

1. The 4 screws (1)
2. The windshield defroster outlet duct (2)
3. The heater duct




4. Remove the screw (3) from the left side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).




5. Remove the 2 screws (1) from the center of the rear of the IP assembly (3) which secure the IP wiring harness (2).




6. Remove the screw (3) from the right side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).




7. Release the wiring harness retainers and remove the IP wiring harness (2) from the IP reinforcement (1).
8. Remove the following components from the IP assembly:

1. The 10 screws
2. The 4 bolts
3. The IP reinforcement

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the IP reinforcement to the IP assembly. Secure the reinforcement with the following:

1. The 10 screws
2. The 4 bolts

Tighten the IP reinforcement bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).

2. Install the IP wiring harness (2) to the IP reinforcement (1). Secure the harness with the plastic retainers.




3. Install the screw (3) to the left side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).




4. Install the 2 screws (1) to the center of the rear of the instrument panel (3) which secure the IP wiring harness (2).




5. Install the screw (3) to the right side of the rear of the IP assembly (1) which secures the IP wiring harness (2).




6. Install the heater duct to the IP assembly
7. Install the windshield defroster outlet duct (2) to the IP assembly Secure the outlet duct with the 4 screws (1).




8. Install the air distribution center duct (1) to the IP assembly. Secure the center duct with the screw (2).
9. Install the IP assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Assembly Replacement).
