Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia: Service and Repair




Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the 2 plastic retainers (2) which secure each side of the rear bumper fascia (1) in the wheelhousing area.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.




3. Remove the screw which secures each side of the bottom of the rear bumper fascia (1).
4. Remove the 2 bolts (2) which secure the center bottom of the rear bumper fascia (1).
5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Open the endgate or rear door.
7. Remove the 4 plastic retainers (1) which secure the rear bumper fascia (2) along the top.




8. Slide the rear bumper fascia (1) rearward.
9. Remove the rear bumper fascia (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear bumper fascia (2) to the vehicle. Secure the fascia with the 4 plastic retainers (1) along the top.
2. Close the endgate or rear door.




3. Raise the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the 2 bolts (2) which secure the center bottom of the rear bumper fascia (1).

Tighten the rear bumper fascia bolts to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).

5. Install the screw which secures each side of the bottom of the rear bumper fascia (1).
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Install the 2 plastic retainers (2) which secure each side of the rear bumper fascia (1) in the wheelhousing area.
