Transfer Case Shift Control Switch ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster bezel.
2. Remove the air deflector louver.
3. Disengage the retainers, and pull out the headlamp, shift control, and cargo lamp switches in order to disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
^ Cargo lamp switch (1)
^ Shift control switch (2, 3)
^ Headlamp switch (4)
5. Remove the headlamp, shift control, and cargo lamp switch housing.
6. Remove the shift combo switch from the housing.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the shift control switch to the housing.
2. Install the headlamp, shift control, and cargo lamp switch housing.
3. Connect the following electrical connectors:
^ Cargo lamp switch (1)
^ Shift control switch (2, 3)
^ Headlamp switch (4)
4. Push in the headlamp, shift control, and cargo lamp switches in order to engage the retainers.
5. Install the air deflector louver.
6. Install the I/P cluster bezel.
