Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the oil filter from the engine block. Clean the sealing surface.





3. Remove the if pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a suitable container.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil filter to the engine block. Tighten the oil filter to the Oil filter manufacturer's specifications listed on the oil filter box.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the drain plug to the Oil pan.
^ Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the crankcase with oil.
