Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair

FUEL PRESSURE CONNECTION VALVE

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure
2. Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
3. Remove the fuel pressure connection core (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the fuel pressure connection core assembly (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.
2. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
4.1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
4.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
4.3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
5. Install the fuel pressure connection valve cap (1).




6. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
