C0288
DTC C0288 or C088Test 1-6
Test 7-9
Circuit Description
The EBCM illuminates the brake warning indicator by supplying ground to the lamp. When the brake warning indicator is commanded ON, the feedback voltage to the EBCM from the ABS pressure differential sensor signal circuit is low.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The EBCM detects high feedback voltage from the ABS pressure differential sensor signal circuit when the brake warning indicator is commanded ON.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
This information-only DTC is stored in EBCM memory until it is cleared by using the specified procedure.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.
Diagnostic Aids
Thoroughly inspect connections or circuitry that may cause an intermittent malfunction.
Test Description
The number below refers to the step number on the diagnostic table:
4. The EBCM may be damaged if the ABS pressure differential sensor signal circuit is shorted to voltage.
