Flywheel Removal and Installation

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the transmission.
2. Remove the engine flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the engine flywheel.
4. Clean and inspect the engine flywheel.

Installation Procedure

Important: Make sure the flywheel is installed correctly. "Engine Side" is stamped on the flywheel to assist with installation.





1. Install the engine flywheel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the flywheel bolts.
2.1. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) a first pass.
2.2. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.) a final pass.
3. Install the transmission.
