Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

- J 42851 Front Cover Oil Seal Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the crankshaft balancer.

Important: Use care not to damage the engine front cover or crankshaft sealing area when removing the crankshaft front oil cover seal.

2. Remove the crankshaft front cover oil seal.

Installation Procedure





1. Coat the crankshaft front cover oil seal with clean engine oil.
2. Using J 42841 install the oil seal.
3. Remove the J 4284 1.
4. Install the crankshaft balancer.
