Water In Fuel Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the fuel tank tiller cap.
3. Remove the protective shield from fuel manager/filter.
4. Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter in order to release any pressure in the fuel supply system.
5. Disconnect the sensor wiring connector by pulling straight down.
6. Remove the water-in-fuel sensor by turning counterclockwise.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new water-in-fuel sensor (7) and seal.
2. Reconnect the sensor connector.
3. Install the protective shield.
4. Bleed the air from the fuel manager/filter if necessary.
5. Install fuel tank filler cap.
6. Lower the vehicle.
