Extension Housing Rear Oil Seal

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft.
3. Remove the rear extension oil seal.

Installation Procedure

- J 21426 Rear Extension Seal Installer





1. Install the new seal using J21426 Rear Extension Seal Installer.
2. Coat the outer edge of the seal case with the non-hardening sealer provided.
3. Coat the seal lips with Transjel.
4. Install the propeller shaft.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Fill the transmission to the proper level with Dexron III Transmission Fluid.
