Fuel Tank Shield: Service and Repair

FUEL TANK SHIELD REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the eight tank shield bolts while an assistant holds the shield in place.
2. Lower the shield from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Place the shield into the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. While an assistant holds the shield in place, loosely install the eight retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
