Canister Vent Valve: Service and Repair

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE (ENHANCED EVAP)

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the vent valve electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the canister vent hose.




4. Bend back the tang on the bracket.
5. Slide the vent valve off the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (ENHANCED EVAP)




1. Slide the vent valve onto the bracket.
2. Connect the canister vent hose.




3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
