Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

TAIL LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the upper quarter panel applique. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Tall Lamp in Trunk/Liftgate.
2. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the tail lamp to the upper quarter panel.
3. Disconnect the bulb sockets from the tail lamp (3).
4. Remove the bulbs from the sockets by turning the bulbs in a counterclockwise direction.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the bulbs into the sockets.
2. Connect the bulb sockets into the tail lamp (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the tail lamp retaining nuts (2) to the upper quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Install the upper quarter panel applique. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Tall Lamp in Trunk/Liftgate.
