High Accelerator Pedal Effort
(Replace Throttle Valve Control (TV) Cable)

Models:
1999-2000 Chevrolet Tracker
with Automatic Transmission (RPO M41)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a higher than normal accelerator pedal effort.

Cause
This condition may be caused by the throttle valve control (TV) cable corroding within the casing resulting in binding of the cable.

Correction
A new TV cable, P/N 91175992, is available with a stainless steel material to prevent the corrosion.

Important:
Be sure to install the stopper provided with the cable assembly to the inner cable. This stopper is the adjustment reference point.

Replace the cable following the service procedure in the Automatic Transmission sub-section of the Service Manual.
