27. Lower Valve Body Assemble

1. Install the following primary regulator valve components:
^ The valve (4)
^ The spring (3)
^ The plunger (2)
^ The sleeve (1)
^ The sleeve retainer





2. Install the following Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) lock-up control valve components:
^ The spring
^ The sleeve
^ The locating pin





3. Install the following shift solenoid components:
^ The intermediate coast modulator valves (5)
^ The intercoast modulator valve spring (2)
^ The low coast modulator valve spring (6)
^ The gasket
^ The solenoid (3)
^ The bolts

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs).





4. Install a new O-ring (2) to the TCC solenoid.
5. Lubricate the new O-ring with A/T fluid.
6. Install the TCC solenoid (1).
7. Install the TCC solenoid bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).





8. Install the following pressure relief valve components:
^ The ball
^ The spring
^ The retainer (1)
^ The bolt
^ Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).





9. Install the following TCC lock-up control valve plate components:
^ The gasket
^ The plate (2)
^ The bolts
^ Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).
10. Install the following lower valve body plate components:
^ The gasket
^ The plate (1)
^ The bolts
^ Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).





11. Install the following components to the valve body:
^ The ball valve spring
^ The valve body ball (2)
^ The valve dampening spring
^ The check ball (6)
^ The bypass valve spring
^ The bypass valve (3)
