Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Left-2 Door)
Removal Procedure
1. Turn the retainer counterclockwise in order to unlock the jack storage cover.
2. Remove the jack storage cover from the vehicle.
3. Remove the lug wrench and the jack handle from the rear quarter lower trim panel.
4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
1. The 4 plastic retainers (2)
2. The front side door sill trim plate (1)
5. Remove the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (2).
6. Remove the rear seat back cushion in order to gain the necessary access to remove the rear quarter lower trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door) (Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door)) in Seats.
7. Remove the plastic retainer (3) which secures the rear quarter lower trim panel (1).
8. Pull and remove the rear quarter lower trim panel (1) from the vehicle by disengaging the plastic retainers.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel (1) to the vehicle. Press the panel into place ensuring that the plastic retainers are fully engaged.
2. Install the plastic retainer (3) which secures the rear quarter lower trim panel (1).
3. Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door) (Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door)) in Seats.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
4. Install the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (2).
Tighten the front seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).
5. Install the front side door sill trim plate (1) to the vehicle. Secure the trim plate with the 4 plastic retainers (2).
6. Install the lug wrench and the jack handle to the rear quarter lower trim panel.
7. Install the jack storage cover to the vehicle and turn the retainer clockwise in order to secure the jack storage cover.
