11. Camshaft Removal

1. Use an appropriate tool to hold the camshaft timing belt pulley.
2. Remove the camshaft timing belt pulley bolt and the camshaft timing belt pulley.
3. Remove the camshaft sensor from the camshaft sensor housing.





4. Remove the three camshaft sensor housing bolts and the camshaft housing from the cylinder head.





5. Loosen all valve adjusting screw lock nuts (2), turn adjusting screws back all the way to allow all rocker arms to move freely.





6. Gradually remove the twelve camshaft housing bolts in the sequence shown.
7. Remove the camshaft and the front camshaft seal.
