11. Reverse Brake Piston Removal

^ Tools Required
- J 41681 Clutch Spring Compressor
- J 23327 Clutch Spring Compressor





1. Remove the brake apply cover bolts.
2. Remove the brake apply cover.
3. Remove the gasket.





4. Compress the reverse brake piston using J 41681 and J 23327.
5. Remove the snap ring.
6. Remove the return springs (1).
7. Remove the retainer.





8. Cover the reverse brake piston with a clean cloth.
9. Slowly apply low pressure compressed air to the fluid passage B (2) while holding the fluid passage A (1) closed until the pistons are released from the case.





10. Remove the following loose components from the case.
^ The outer reverse brake piston (1)
^ The reaction sleeve (2)
^ The inner reverse brake piston (3)
11. Remove the piston O-ring seals.
