Lubricant Level Inspection


1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Make sure the vehicle is leveled.
3. Inspect the rear axle for any lubricant leak.
4. Clean the area around the rear axle housing filler plug.





5. Remove the rear axle housing filler plug from the passenger side of the rear axle differential.
6. The lubricant level is to be maintained at the bottom edge of the filler plug hole WHEN COLD.
7. Add more lubricant if needed. Refer to Lubrication Specifications.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

8. Install the rear axle housing filler plug into the rear axle differential.
^ Tighten the rear axle housing filler plug to 32.5 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
9. Lower the vehicle.
