Automatic Transmission Dipstick - Dipstick Tube: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the transmission oil level indicator.
2. Remove the two bolt securing the oil lever indicator tube to the transmission and engine.
3. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the transmission case and seal.





4. Remove the seal from the transmission case.

Installation Procedure





1. Install a new seal into the transmission case.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the seal.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the two bolt securing the oil level indicator tube to the transmission and engine.
^ Tighten the bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the transmission oil level indicator.
