Accelerator Pedal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove left sound insulator.
2. Remove the accelerator cable from the slot in the pedal assembly (1).




3. Remove the nuts to the cowl (2).
4. Remove the pedal assembly (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the pedal assembly (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts to the cowl (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Install the accelerator controls cable into the slot in the pedal.
4. Install left sound insulator.
