Valve Lifter Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement.
2. Remove the valve lifters. Refer to Valve Lifter Removal.
3. Inspect the valve lifters and the valve lifter guide assemblies. Refer to Valve Lifters and Guides Clean and Inspect.
4. If a valve lifter requires replacement inspect the camshaft. Refer to Camshaft and Bearings Clean and Inspect.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the valve lifters. Refer to Valve Lifter Installation.
2. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement.
