Radiator Drain Plug: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly (2.2L engines only). Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement.
3. Turn the drain cock until the metal pin on the drain cock is aligned with the opening slot.





4. Pull the drain cock out of the radiator.

Installation Procedure





1. Align the metal pin on the drain cock with the opening slot on the radiator.





2. Push the drain cock into the radiator slot.
3. Close the drain cock.
4. Install the air cleaner (2.2L engines only). Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement.
5. Refill the radiator. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
