Automatic Dynamic Noise Reduction

The U1C and UPO radio has the Automatic DNR(R) (Dynamic Noise Reduction) which reduces background hiss on AM, FM, and FM stereo radio broadcasts.

When a compact disc is played, the automatic DNR(R) function is disabled. When the unit is in the radio play mode the automatic DNR(R) function is enabled. DNR(R) is a registered trademark of National Semiconductor Corporation.
