CD Changer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution In Service Precautions.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the floor console.
3. Disconnect the console wiring harness connector to the remote compact disc changer.
4. Remove the compact disc changer mounting nuts.
5. Remove the compact disc changer from the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the compact disc changer to the mounting bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the compact disc changer mounting nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the compact disc changer retaining nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the console wiring harness connector to the remote compact disc changer.
4. Install the floor console.
5. Install the negative battery cable.
