Rear Spring Bushing Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.





2. Support the rear axle with safety stands in order to relieve the tension from the rear springs.
3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
4. Remove the leaf spring from the vehicle. Refer to Leaf Spring Replacement (Passenger/Cargo) or Leaf Spring Replacement (Cutaway/Upfitter) in Rear Suspension.
5. Remove the bushing from the rear spring as follows:
- Place the rear spring in a press.
- Press out the bushing.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the bushing into the rear spring.
Use a press in order to properly position the bushings into the rear spring.





2. Install the leaf spring to the vehicle. Refer to Leaf Spring Replacement (Passenger/Cargo) or Leaf Spring Replacement (Cutaway/Upfitter) in Rear Suspension.
3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
4. Remove the safety stands.
5. Lower the vehicle.
