Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Remove the left trim panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar.
3. Remove the electrical connector.
4. Remove the retainer from the switch.
5. Remove the indicator switch from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure





1. Connect the indicator switch to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Connect the retainer to the switch.
Tighten the indicator switch retaining screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).
3. Install the electrical connector.
4. Install the left trim panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar.
5. Install the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
