Daytime Running Lamp Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel.
2. Remove the bolts (3) that retain the relay center and the bracket to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.
3. Remove the relay center (5) and the bracket (4) from the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.




4. Remove the DRL relay (3) from the relay center.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the DRL relay (3) to the relay center.




2. Install the relay center (5) and the bracket (4) to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the bolts (3) that retain the relay center and the bracket to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

4. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel.
