Engine Mount Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the engine mount through-bolt and nut for the side being replaced.
Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley. Lifting the engine in an unapproved manner may cause component damage.
4. Use a jack on the square tab at the rear of the engine block raise the engine.
5. Remove the bolts for the frame side mount.
6. Remove the frame side mount.
7. Remove the bolts for the engine side mount.
8. Remove the engine side mount and the shield.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the mount and shield to the engine.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the remaining bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 54 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the mount to the frame.
4. Install the bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the engine.
6. Install the through-bolt and nut.
^ Tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
