Coolant Heater Cord Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cove Replacement.
2. Remove the bolt (2) retaining the cord clip (3) to the bracket.
3. Remove the cord clip (3) from the bracket.
4. Remove the bolt (2) retaining the bracket to the engine block.
5. Remove the bracket from the engine block.





6. Remove the cord (1) from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure





Important: Do not touch the heater cord to the following areas:
^ The engine
^ Hot pipes
^ The manifold
^ Any moving parts

1. Install the cord (1) to the vehicle.





2. Install the bracket to the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the bolt retaining the bracket to the engine block.
^ Tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
4. Install the cord clip (3) to the bracket.
5. Install the bolt (2) retaining the cord clip (3) to the bracket.
^ Tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
