Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the check valve from the power brake booster.





2. Remove the nut for the vacuum hose retaining bracket.
3. Remove the vacuum hose retaining bracket from the stud.
4. Remove the vacuum hose from the power brake booster intake valve at the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the vacuum hose to the power brake booster intake valve at the intake manifold.
2. Install the vacuum hose to the retaining bracket.
3. Install the retaining bracket to the stud.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the nut to the stud.
Tighten the nut to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).





5. Install the check valve to the power brake booster.
