Enabling the Park Brake Automatic Adjuster

Pin Up Procedure
Before any components of the parking brake system are replaced, the following Pin Up procedures must be followed.





1. Remove the left kick panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar.
2. Place the lever in the FULL upward position.
3. With one person in the vehicle, raise and support the vehicle.
4. With the second person, pull rearward on the front cable strand until the lever drum (2) reaches its full reset position (3).
5. Insert a scribe or nail (1) into the lever to hold the tension to its full reset position.
6. Remove the part that requires service.
