Rear Brake Rear Pipe

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Brake Pipe Replacement Caution in Service Precautions.

Important: Brake pipes that run parallel to each other must maintain a 6 mm (1/4 inch) clearance.





1. Disconnect the rear brake front pipe from the rear brake rear pipe at the brass fitting.





2. Disconnect the rear brake rear pipe from the rear brake hose.





3. Remove the brake pipe retainers from the frame.
4. Remove the rear brake rear pipe from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Brake Pipe Replacement Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Install the rear brake rear pipe to the vehicle.
2. Install the brake pipe retainers to the frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Connect the rear brake rear pipe to the rear brake hose.
Tighten the rear brake rear pipe to the rear brake hose to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





4. Connect the rear brake front pipe to the rear brake rear pipe at the brass fitting.
5. Bleed the brake hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure Bleeding) in Brake Bleeding.
