Hood Insulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the hood.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the underhood lamp.
3. Remove the underhood lamp harness and the retainers from the hood. Refer toUnderhood Lamp Replacement (Base) Underhood Lamp Replacement (Retractable) in Lighting Systems.




4. Remove the hood insulator retainers.
5. Remove the insulator from the hood (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the insulator (2) to the hood (1).
2. Install the hood insulator retainers.
3. Install the retainers holding the underhood lamp and harness to the hood. Refer to Underhood Lamp Replacement (Base) Underhood Lamp Replacement (Retractable) in Lighting Systems.
4. Connect the electrical connector to the underhood lamp.
5. Close the hood.
