Speaker Replacement - Front (Tweeter)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the front door trim plate (1) from the door trim panel.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the following components, if equipped:
^ Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement (Manual Windows) or Door Trim Plate Replacement (Power Windows) or Door Trim Plate Replacement (Side/ Rear Door) in Doors.
^ Power window switch
^ Power mirror switch
^ Power lock switch
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the tweeter (5).
4. Drill out the heat stakes in order to remove the tweeter.
5. Remove the tweeter from the front door trim plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the tweeter to the front door trim plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws (4) in order to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the tweeter.
4. Connect the electrical connections to the following components, if equipped:
^ Power window switch
^ Power mirror switch
^ Power lock switch
5. Install the front door trim plate to the door trim panel.
