Circuit Description
The ABS indicator is illuminated via a normally open ground circuit in the EBCM. When the ABS indicator is commanded on, the feedback voltage to the EBCM from the ABS failure control circuit is low.

Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The EBCM detects high feedback voltage from the ABS failure control circuit when the ABS lamp is commanded on.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC
^ The condition(s) responsible for setting the DTC is no longer present.
^ A scan tool is used in order to clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).

Diagnostic Aids

Thoroughly inspect connections or circuitry that may cause an intermittent malfunction. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections, Connector Repairs and Wiring Repairs.
