REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Clean all the fuel pipe and hose connections and the surrounding areas before disconnecting in order to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap.
4. Drain the fuel below the level of the fuel tank fill hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure.
5. Remove the fuel fill pipe to fuel fill pipe housing bolts.
6. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in Vehicle Lifting.
7. Loosen the fuel fill hose to fuel fill pipe clamp (3).
8. Disconnect the fuel fill hose (6) from the fuel fill pipe (5).
9. Remove the fuel fill pipe.
10. Cap the open end of the fuel fill hose.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Uncap the fuel till hose.
2. Install the fuel till pipe (5) to the fuel till hose (6).
3. Align the fuel fill pipe to the fuel fill pipe housing.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel till hose clamp to 2.75 N.m (24 lb in).

4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Install the fuel till pipe to fuel fill pipe housing bolts.
6. Refill the fuel tank.
7. Install the fuel tiller cap.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
