Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement (Right)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
2. Remove the spark plug wires for the right side of the engine from the distributor cap. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Harness Replacement.
3. Remove the PCV tube from the valve rocker arm cover and the air inlet duct.
4. Move the engine wiring harness aside.





5. Remove the screw holding the oil fill tube to the oil fill tube lower support.
6. Remove the oil fill tube from the right valve rocker arm cover and move aside.
7. Remove the right valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal (Left).
8. Clean all sealing surfaces. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Clean and Inspect.


Installation Procedure





1. Install the right valve rocker arm cover and bolts. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation (Right).
2. Install the oil fill tube in the right valve rocker arm cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the oil fill tube and bolt to the oil fill tube lower support.
^ Tighten the oil fill tube to lower support bolt to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).





4. Install the PCV hose in the valve rocker arm cover and to the air inlet duct.
5. Connect the spark plug wires to the distributor cap. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Harness Replacement.
6. Position the engine wiring harness.
7. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
